UPDATE: Missing Woman Located

The Hawai`i Police Department reports that 65-year-old Jan Shon Liao has been located.

She was found in good health in Hilo on April 1 just before 10 p.m.

The Hawai`i Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a 65-year-old Pāhoa woman who has been missing since Tuesday evening.

Authorities say Jan Shon Liao was last seen leaving her Hawaiian Beaches residence shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday morning. She reportedly left for a walk.

Liao is described as 5-feet-1-inch and 130 pounds, with brown eyes and gray hair. She was last seen wearing a pink shirt, shorts, and a red bandana around her neck. She was also carrying a backpack.
