Police Investigating Threat at Hilo Intermediate

The Hawai`i Police Department and Hilo Intermediate School authorities are investigating a graffiti threat discovered on Friday at the school.

Police officials say it has not been determined when the threat was scribed. School authorities are remaining on alert, and at this time there are no changes being made to the school schedule.

The safety of our children attending school is paramount and there will be an increased law enforcement presence at the schools.

All threats are taken seriously and investigated to the fullest extend of the law.

Police are asking that anyone that might have information on this graffiti to contact Officer Michael Matsumura, School Resource Officer at 935-3311.
