The Hawai`i Police Department has located a suspect wanted for questioning in an attempted murder investigation.
On Monday, just after 7 p.m., the Area II Special Enforcement Unit with the assistance of South Kohala Patrol officers, located and arrested twenty-one year-old Jerome Kahoalii-Heath of Kailua-Kona. He was taken into custody without incident.
Police asked the public for help with locating the Kona man. According to Lieutenant Roylen Valera of the Area II Criminal Investigations Division, police received numerous calls and located Kahoalii-Heath. “We are grateful for the public’s assistance,” Valera said.

The Hawai`i Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect wanted for questioning in an attempted murder investigation.
Police are looking for twenty-one-year-old Jerome Kahoalii-Heath of Kailua-Kona. He is described as being 5-feet-4-inches and 130 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
HPD says the public is advised against approaching Kahoalii-Heath who is considered armed and dangerous.
Just before 1 a.m. on Friday, South Kohala Patrol officers responded to a 9-1-1 emergency call for assistance regarding a woman who may have been shot.
A 34-year old female sustained wounds to her upper-body, consistent with the type of injury which could be caused by shotgun pellets. The incident occurred on Mana Road, and the victim was treated for her injuries. Detectives from the Area II Criminal Investigation Section are continuing the investigation.
