UPDATE: Missing Teen Located

The Hawaiʻi Police Department reports that 16-year-old Hiilei Peneku, who was previously reported as missing, has been located.

Police say she was located in Hilo on January 18 in good health.

The Hawai`i Police Department is searching for a 16-year-old female who was reported missing from the Honokaʻa Town area since January 16.

Hiilei Peneku is described as about 5-feet-7-inches and 150 pounds. She has brown eyes, long brown hair, a light complexion, and has a tattoo of a sunflower on her right shoulder.
