UPDATE: Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Suspect Arrested

The Hawai`i Police Department reports that Kyle Arellano was located and arrested in Kona.

HPD officials say that stolen vehicle has also been recovered.

The Hawai`i Police Department is searching for a 22-year-old man who is the suspect in an incident that occurred on Wednesday.

Kyle Arellano is suspected for assaulting and stealing a bag from a 71-year-old man in Kona on that day.

HPD officials say that on Thursday, a 2007 silver Honda Accord was reported stolen from the Honokahau Harbor area. This stolen vehicle is believed to be operated by Kyle Arellano, per police officials.

The vehicle has been seen on Henry Street, as well as in other areas of Kona.

Arellano is described 5-feet-8-inches tall and 230 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. He has in large letters “Arellano” written on his back, tattoos on both arms including a tattoo of a Koi on his right shoulder and right forearm.
