The Hawai`i Police Department responded to Kealakehe High School Friday morning after learning of a possible weapons incident at the school.
Police officials say that Kona Patrol officers responded at about 9 a.m. and that the incident caused a school lockdown.
HPD officers conducted a check at the school and no one was found in possession of any weapons.
Authorities say further investigation revealed that the incident involved a student making a comment about bombs during a confrontation with other students.
As a result, police arrested a 15-year-old male student for harassment.
Police continue to investigation the incident.
