UPDATE: Kona Man Wanted in Monday Morning Assault Caught

The Hawai`i Police Department has located a 34-year-old male who was wanted for outstanding bench warrants and as a suspect in a Kona stabbing incident.

On November 4 at 9 a.m., police located and arrested Drew Camacho without incident.

The Hawai`i Police Department is searching for 34-year-old Drew Camacho for felony assault.

Authorities say the man is considered armed and dangerous.

Camacho is described as 5-feet-11-inches and 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and short black hair. In addition, the Kona resident has numerous tattoos on both arms and in various areas of his body.

Police say Camacho assaulted a female and male at their residence located off Kaiminani Drive in Kona on Monday morning.

He reportedly left the area in a black 1998 Honda Civic with graffiti writing on it and license plate ZCG-186.

Police ask that anyone who sees Camacho should not approach him and instead call police at the department’s non-emergency line 935-3311 or 9-1-1 in an emergency situation.
