UPDATE: No Tsunami Threat Following Big Island Quake

The United States Geological Survey has downgraded the earthquake to a 5.5 magnitude, as of 4:15 p.m.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says no tsunami was generated by a 5.8 magnitude earthquake that shook the Big Island Sunday afternoon.

PTWC officials say the earthquake occurred at 3:51 p.m. in the summit region of Kilauea Volcano.
