High Sulfur Dioxide Levels Close Several Schools

Due elevated sulfur dioxide levels several East Hawai`i schools are closed on Thursday.

The schools include Pahoa High, Intermediate, and Elementary School Complex, Keonepoko Elementary, Hawaii Academy of Arts and Science, and Volcano School of Arts and Science.

The kindergarten to 4th grade classes are cancelled today at Ke Kula ʻO Nāwahīokalaniʻōpuʻu iki also due to elevated sulfur dioxide levels.
