The Hawai`i County Fire Department responded to a storage complex fire in Kailua-Kona late Saturday night.
Crews arrived on scene at 10:26 p.m. to find Power Self Storage, located on Walua Road, with three units fully involved in fire and smoke being emitted from the roof and doors.
HFD personnel forced entry into the three units and attempted to extinguish the flames but the fire quickly spread to adjacent units.
Two engine companies forced entry and attempted to extinguish flames in approximately 10 storage units on the south side of the building complex. Two other engine companies also forced entry and attempted to extinguish 10 storage units on the north side of the complex.
After four hours of fighting the blaze, the fire was brought under control.
it was deemed out at 4:10 a.m. on Sunday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported in the incident.
