A traffic accident that caused a closure of Highway 19 in Laupahoehoe near the 25-mile marker for about six hours ended in tragedy.
The Hawai`i County Fire Department says they arrived on scene at 1:45 p.m. to find that a Mazda open bed truck had collided head-on with a fuel tractor trailer causing flames.
