Tiki Gardens Home Fire Causes $90K in Damage

The Hawai`i County Fire Department responded to an unoccupied single family home along Kamehameha Boulevard in the Tiki Gardens Subdivision on Wednesday evening.

Responding to the 5:12 p.m. alarm fire crews found the structure fully engulfed in flames, along with a car parked in the carport.

Using attack lines the structure and vehicle were extinguished

The 1056 square foot home had heavy interior and smoke damage, per HFD officials.

A home overhaul using thermal imaging camera’s and ventilation techniques before the scene was turned over to fire investigations and the Hawai`i Police Department.

No one was injured in the incident.

The total loss on the home is estimated at $90,000.
