The Hawai`i County Fire Department responded to a structure fire along Uilani Drive in Ainaloa Friday morning.
Units arrived on scene at 11:11 a.m. where they found a quarter of a vacant single story residence in flames.
Fire officials say the entrance and first room were the areas involved. No occupants were in the home or in the area.
Electric utilities were disconnected from the house prior to HFD arrival.
The Hawai`i Police Department was on scene during the extinguishment and a roadblock was set in place with vehicles detoured through Ainaloa Boulevard.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No injuries were reported. A total of twelve firefighters responded in the incident.
Estimated loss was evaluated as $12,800.
