Outbound traffic will not be rerouted from Highway 19, onto Honomu Road and onto the Old Mamalahoa Highway and returning to Route 19.
Inbound traffic will still be re-routed from Route 19 onto the Old Mamalahoa Highway from the Honomu transfer station road and returning to Route 19.

Highway 19 in the area of Honomu remains closed Sunday following a traffic accident that took place Saturday afternoon.
The incident apparently involved a propane truck and a cement truck, according to officials. A SUV was also involved. The exact nature of how the accident occurred is still under investigation.
As of Sunday, just before noon, the propane truck reportedly remains on fire.
In addition to the Highway 19 closure, Honomu Transfer Station Road is also closed.
Vehicles outbound on Highway 19 will be rerouted through the Old Mamalahoa Highway in Pepeekeo. Vehicles inbound on Route 19 will be rerouted onto the Old Mamalahoa Highway from the Honomu Transfer Station Road.
Large trucks and vehicles are not permitted to take these detours and need to plan for the use of alternate routes.
The Hawai`i Police Department issued a 11:45 a.m. update noting that closure will likely extend through Monday.
