The Hawai`i Police Department reports that the north bound lane of Highway 130 at the intersection of Highway 132 in Pahoa is closed as of 3:49 p.m. Thursday.

Officials say the closure is a result of a traffic accident in the area.

Police have issued a public request to be on the look out for a white older model pickup truck that was involved in the incident.

It appears as if the vehicle was involved in a crash with a motorcycle. Police say the driver of the truck fled the scene and that the truck has damage on the driver’s side.

If you spot the vehicle, please call HPD’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or 9-1-1 if it is an emergency situation.
