The Department of Water Supply’s Keahuolū Deepwell remains out of service Sunday as repairs continue to be made.
According to DWS officials, crews are working double shifts to complete the replacement of the deepwell’s pump and motor.
The repairs are anticipated to be completed by next Sunday.
Residents in the North Kona area remain under a Water Restriction. Under the restriction residents are urged to limit their water use to health and safety needs.
Recent reductions in water use have allowed the department to maintain all of its users but monitoring for unnecessary use will continue.
Affected customers can access a water tanker located on Hina Lani Street between Anini Street and Manu Mele Street and a water spigot on a fire hydrant along Ane Keohokalole Highway, between Kealakehe Parkway and Kealakehe High School.
