The Hawai`I County Fire Department responded to a late night fire in Pahoa Sunday.
In response to a 10:14 p.m. alarm fire fighters traveled to an address along Pahoa Village Road where they located a two-story, 3,264 square foot structure fully engulfed in flames, and one other structure being threatened.
The fire was contained to the structure of origin.
There were reportedly no occupants present at the time and HFD says it appears that the structure was vacant and undergoing a construction for a re-model.
Cause of the fire remains under investigation. Damage from the fire is estimated to be $326,400.
